Care, Learn, Achieve

Year 5

Welcome to Year 5

We have 30 children in our class. Our teacher is Miss Kearsley and our teaching assistant is Mrs Sargeant.

Hi Y5

I hope that you and your loved ones are keeping well.

This weeks Learning Project will focus on the topic 'Space'. This was the topic we were learning about just before lock down, so it will give you the opportunity to further your knowledge in this area.

Thank you to those of you who participated in - Ed Start's 'Virtual Sports Week'- the school have since received a 'School Games Virtual Award' for your engagement and commitment to virtual physical activity during the Summer Term. An additional, thank you and well done, to those of you who took part in the Reading Challenge.

Once again, I hope that you all have a great final week before the Summer Holidays. Take care and stay safe.

Writing Prayers
Y5 wrote prayers about climate change which will hopefully be published in the Methodist prayer book next year.
Chocolate Education - Mayan Experience
To support our Ancient Mayan topic, we had a visitor come in to talk to us about the history of cocoa and Mexico. We also designed and made our own chocolate bar.
