                                                      Dodgeball - 31.01.20
4 girls and 4 boys went to Broadoak Primary School to represent BMPS in the dodgeball competition. Fantastic effort from everybody involved.

Girls Football - Friday 22nd Nov 2019


The Girls' football team went to St Andrew's to compete in the cluster football event on Friday. They were fantastic, and scored some amazing goals! Well done everyone! 

Intra-Sports Competition - Football


The first of our Intra-sports competitions took place this week (WC 20th May) with all four houses competing against each other in football.


The concept was devised by Sports Council to give everyone the chance to compete in events and experience the benefits of sporting competition. 


The week was a fantastic success and we have observed countless examples of our School Games Values and our Methodist Values being demonstrated.

Coming up - Worsley Cricket Competition


Year 3 have been training each Friday with a coach from Worsley Cricket Club. He will select a team to represent the school to play in a tournament at Worsley C.C. on Friday 21st June. 


I will provide more details about the event when the team has been selected after the next two sessions in school.

Football Competition - 24.5.19


On Friday, the Girls' Football team went to Mense Lea Primary School to compete in the Worsley Football Tournament. The whole team were fantastic, not only in their performance, but also their attitude. We managed to come away with 5 points, and only lost one game to the eventual winners. Boothstown were definitely a force to be reckoned with!


Well done to everyone involved, and thank you to all everyone that helped with transport.

Rounders League - Week 1


The Boothstown Rounders Team competed in their first ever league competition this week at St. Gilbert's Primary School. It was a fantastic event and we managed to score lots of runs against each team we played. 


The next tournament is on Thursday 6th June, at Primrose Hill Primary School. Can Parents please arrive at school to pick the children up at 3 p.m. (like last time). The tournament should finish at around 5.30 p.m.

Worsley Athletics Championships 


The Boothstown Athletics Team were amazing on Tuesday night, and made everyone at school so proud of them. Every child on the team gave their absolute best for their school and friends. We had a record number of children progress through the heats and into the finals this year, which shows the immense talent in our school.


Well done to everyone involved!

Coming up - Worsley Athletics Championships - 21.5.19 


On Tuesday 21st May, we will be competing in the Worsley Athletics Championships at Cleavley Athletics track in Winton. The Championships will start at 4pm and finish at around 6:30pm, children will need to be there for 3:45. 


Over the next few weeks, staff will be selecting the team for this event and letters will be sent home with the children.

Coming up - Y4/5 Girls Football Competition - 24.5.19


The next Inter-school competition is the Y4/5 Girls Football tournament at Mesne Lea. The tournament will be on Friday afternoon (24th May), starting at 1pm and finishing at 3pm. Children will need shin pads and suitable football boots / trainers (moulded studs will be the best option). 


Please get your slips returned to Mr Brown as soon as possible so transport can be arranged for the event. 

Worsley Schools' Swimming Gala 17.4.19


On Wednesday night, Our Key Stage 2 children competed in the Worsley Schools' Swimming Gala. All the children were a credit to our school, not only in their effort and determination, but also in their sportsmanship and behaviour. It has been a long time since we have had so many finalists in the event! Well done everyone!

Salford Tennis Tournament


On Friday 29th March, children from Year 3 and 4 went to Broadoak Primary School to take part in a tennis tournament. The tennis team were unbeaten but just missed out on the final by drawing in their last game. All the children enjoyed the afternoon and were a credit to our school. Well done!

Cross Country 20.3.19


On Wednesday 20th March, the school entered two teams in the Worsley Schools Cross Country Relay. All the children were fantastic, and showed great attitude and sportsmanship. 

Tag Rugby Festival 11.10.18


On Thursday some of our Year 5 and Year 6 children were selected to represent the school in a Rugby League competition at the AJ Bell Stadium. We played fantastically well as a team in defence and manages to score some superb tries.


We are also very proud of Darcey for being awarded the 'Spirit of the Game'  award! Well done. 

Hockey Tournament 24.9.18

On Monday, seven of our children went to St. Andrew's to compete in a hockey tournament. They managed to finish 3rd, winning two games and losing two. 

American Football!

This week, ten of our Year 5 and 6 children took part in the Jacksonville Jaguars JagTag event. Schools from all over Salford came together to learn how to play American Football and learn some new skills.

Dodgeball Competition @ Broadoak Primary


Congratulations to the Year 3/4 dodgeball team! On Friday 2nd Feb we travelled to Broadoak Primary for an eight school tournament. We played really well and managed to win six of our seven games making us the winners!

Well done Polly, Sophie, Ruby, James, Oliver and Luke!
