Local trips/visits
At Boothstown Methodist we value experiences to ‘Learn Outside the Classroom’. We regularly arrange off-site visits during the school year to support pupils’ learning and development. These visits take place during the school day and do not involve overnight stays. Parents/carers will be informed in advance if visits extend beyond the local area.
All activities are supervised by school staff, with appropriate measures in place to ensure pupils’ safety and wellbeing.
Illness or Injury
In the event of illness or injury, staff will seek medical assistance as required. Where urgent treatment is necessary and a parent/carer cannot be contacted in time, staff may give consent on behalf of the parent if a delay could put the child at risk. (Parents provide school with emergency contacts upon registration)
(All pupils are covered by the City Council’s third party liability insurance in respect of any claim arising from an accident caused by a defect in the school premises or equipment or attributable to negligence by the City Council or one of their employees)
