Bridging past 10 using number bonds
We have been using Multi-link cubes and egg boxes to add single digit numbers. We have got some egg boxes that have 10 egg holders in, this helps us see the number ten. When we are adding numbers we put the cubes in the containers and we can easily see our number bonds to 10. Any cubes that left over we just add to 10 to find our answer. By doing this we will start to be able to add numbers mentally.
